Nars Long Hot Summer Eyeshadow Palette ($45, Limited Edition) - The palette is about three-fourth the size of my hand and measures approximately 3.80 inches x 0.25 inches x 2.20 inches. It's very sleek and travel-friendly. Each shade contains 0.03oz/1g of product. Nars' individual eyeshadows retail $25 (with compact) for 0.07oz/2.2g and $18 in pan form.
- Long Hot Summer I is a shimmering cream.
- Long Hot Summer II is a bronze taupe with a shimmery finish.
- Bellissima II is a matte gray-brown. This shade is also available in the duo compact.
- Long Hot Summer III is a shimmering copper.
- Long Hot Summer IV is a shimmering warm brown.
- Bengali is a matte rich chocolate brown. Out of all the shades in this palette, Bengali is the only one that's available individually.
Formula: The eyeshadows have great pigmentation, layer well and blend easily. Just make sure to tap off any excess before applying so you don't experience major fallout. I usually apply my eye makeup before foundation so I can easily wipe away any shimmers that have fallen down my cheeks or underneath my eyes.
Longevity: They last at least 8 hours without fading or creasing. (For reference, I have extremely oily lids and always wear a primer underneath as a base.)

Scent: It's fragrance-free.
Color: Orgasm is a peachy pink with gold shimmers. It leaves a subtle glow and pulls more pink on my warm NC30/35 skin tone. Goulue (review) is darker and has a more berry undertone.
Formula: The pigmentation is sheer, but can easily be layered for a more intense look. It also blends into the skin nicely and is very easy to work with.
Longevity: It lasts at least 8 hours without fading when worn over foundation + setting powder. (For reference, I have cheeks that are neither dry nor oily.)
- Barbara is described as a tan rose with a satin finish. It looks more tan on my pigmented lips with a hint of rose.
- Julie is described as a nude pink with a satin finish. It looks more like a bright coral pink on my lips. I usually don't go for bright colors, but this shade complements me very well and is perfect for the summer time!
- Brigitte is described as a nude rose with a satin finish. It looks more like a warm coral on my lips.
- Vanessa is a mauve nude with a satin finish.
- Anita is a warm, antique rose with a satin finish. It looks very similar to Vanessa. I couldn't really tell much difference between the 2 when I wore them side by side on my lips. Both shades are very easy to wear and are my favorite of the bunch. They also apply the smoothest and glide on like butter. MAC Faux (review) is slightly lighter and more mauvey.
Scent: They're fragrance-free and do not taste like anything.
Formula: The lipsticks have a creamy texture and feel slightly more hydrating than the other Nars lipstick formulas, but not as hydrating as say, the Burberry Kisses lipsticks (review). I still have to wear a lip balm underneath because I have extremely dry lips. As for the pigmentation, they all provide full coverage.
Longevity: The lipsticks last at least 4 and a half hours and leave behind a natural looking stain.
- Anse Soleil is a coral pink with a matte finish.
- Waimea is a nude peach pink with a matte finish.
- Patong Beach is described as a pink rose with a matte finish. It looks more like a reddish rose on my lips.
- Karekare is a described as a bright rose with a matte finish. It looks more like a deeper version of Patong Beach.
Scent: They're fragrance-free and do not taste like anything.
Formula: The lip liners have a creamy texture and excellent pigmentation. They also apply smoothly and prevent lipstick from feathering.
Longevity: They last all day without fading or moving, even through meals and drinks. I have to use makeup remover to wash it off!
Bottom Line: The Long Hot Summer palette is a great neutral eye palette for someone who's always on the go. For an everyday, easy-to-wear blush, Orgasm fits the bill! As for the Audacious lipsticks and Velvet lip liners, these are ideal for those looking for rich pigmentation and a long-lasting formula.
Note: The Nars Long Hot Summer eyeshadow palette is only available on their main website. The Nars Audacious Lipsticks and Velvet Lip Liners are available at Nordstrom, Sephora, Beauty.com, Saks and Bloomingdale's.
